Exercize

I wonder if my neighbors ever watch me exercise? I mostly dance after dark so I can use my windows as big mirrors. I don't mind being a weird person that does that thing because, whether we realize it or not, we all need people like that in our lives.
I am still uncomfortable with the idea of visiting the community gym. My job demands that I spend a lot of my time on display. When I'm at work, I feel like a hamster who's cage doesn't have a hut. In my private time, I much rather engage in situations that don't demand convivial banter.

Gouro Zaouli Dance

As far as seduction dances go, I say this is a pret-ty good one.

No Flex Zone

Wintertime is setting in. I dance for exercise - keep the heat at 58°F. My houseplants typically go into a state of dormancy due to brief daylight hours, low temps, and lack of humidity. Some whitefly came in with the colocasia (aka black magic elephant's ear, pictured right) and I've been treating the outbreak with Safer Soap. If you love the smell of powdered doughnuts and hate toxic chemicals, Safer Soap is the organic plant pest treatment for you.

Passion

I loved this documentary about how ballet shoes are crafted. The industrious shoemaker Pat demonstrates such incredible diligence and passion. I feel so romantic about this idea that in searching for an industry to participate in, it is possible that you could somehow stumble on one so apt and dignified. I want to excel at my work and take great pride in the things that I do. This is what I am looking for.

Efteling

Young Kate Bush made her television debut in 1978 on a Dutch TV special produced by the Efteling theme park in the Netherlands. (Efteling had recently opened their haunted castle Spookslot and wanted to show off the park's new attraction). Kate is such a clever and sincere artist. I think she is pure magic.

Get Down

... Get down!, baby / To the funky funky funky groove / Get down! / Let the light reflect on your natural mood ...

Mr. Curtis Mayfield, Ladies and Gentlemen! Soul Train! When I dance I pretend that I'm on Soul Train. Everyone is clapping and we're all gettin down to the funky grooves. I'm spinnin and weavin in my seriously sparkly 5" platform shoes with the ease of Cool-Whip dropping off a spoon. stuffeddoggie. disco dance legend! But really, it's more like this @froghammer tweet:

Have a gr8 weekend, everybody!

Teens, Dentists, Olympics

Kerri Strug's coach Béla Károlyi seems to be a very intensely passionate man, like he probably insists on things needing MORE INTENSITY a lot. 1996 was the year that my dentist kept insisting that I looked just like Dominique Moceanu as I received a filling without novocaine.

Kerri Strug and Béla Károlyi

I love the Chemical Brothers' music video for Elektrobank directed by Spike Jonze.  Sofia Coppola's sidelong glances remind me a lot of a young stuffed doggie, sitting in a dentist chair.
