It's the summer of being stuck again. I don't expect this post to mean anything to anybody, but I'd like it to be here so I can see it someday and remember how I was feeling right before breaking out to do my own thing for a living.
Currently reading Mists Of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. Currently sipping Campari + Soda. It smells like Peonies, Grass, Tar, and Homefries. There is some Yellow Pollen in my sweater. It sounds like Birds. I can hear the Neighborhood all around me.
I love harvest-time fairs. Have you read Charlotte's Web by E.B. White? I count myself as one of the many kids in New England who have. I took these pictures at the Blue Hill Fair in Maine, USA last year. It's the same fair where Fern entered Wilbur the pig.
1. Fried Dough - powdered sugar topping is better than tomato sauce toppings ALWAYS
2. Stake out water-stream shooting games. Always figure out which guns are best for winning the giant stuffed bears before you shell out cash
3. Tractor pulls [power-sport motoring competitions of pure brawn] are extremely noisey and raise a hell-storm of mud and exhaust (YEAHH!)
4. Vegetables can be bigger than you
